During a major emergency, you may call 866-245-4260 to hear information. Greenwich has instituted an emergency e-mail notification system for which residents may sign up. For information and to register, go online to greenwichct.org and click on the Emergency Preparedness page.

The town has also published an Emergency Ready Guide that is available online at greenwichct.org/Emergency/Emergency.asp. Information on emergency preparedness for a variety of situations is online at the town health department Web page.

The Greenwich Department of Health conducts planning for public health emergencies such as flu outbreaks, bioterrorism events, and more.

Former Fire Chief Dan Warzoha is the town’s Emergency Operations Management coordinator. He is charged with coordinating emergency response plans among town agencies, organizations such as the Red Cross and Greenwich Hospital, and private industry and businesses during a major emergency.
